Goal

Storyteller Goods is a community hub with long-term expansion goals, so it needed to have a design system which was both consistent and flexible - equally suited to coffee roasts and children’s books - as well as being capable of celebrating the unique character of the communities it serves.

Strategy

I leaned into a youthful, mid-century feel to evoke nostalgic connection and warmth, as well as touching on the luxury of curated goods. We created a design system based around the concept of The Armchair, an illustration which is a standalone icon for Storyteller, but which can also be paired with an infinite range of items (illustrated in the same style) to create specific narratives.
